This Saturday, March 19th, the Economic Justice Committee is teaming up with Pittsburghers for Public Transit and the Amalgamated Transit Union’s Local 85 for a permitted march and rally to stop the cuts to Port Authority service and funding. The Port Authority Board voted to reduce already-reduced service by 15% on 3/27/11 in anticipation of a funding gap for FY2011. We are asking the Board to stop the cuts and lawmakers to find a dedicated source of public funding for PAT. See all the details here: http://www.pittsburghersforpublictransit.org/
3/19/11: Meet at noon at the intersection of Beacon & Murray in Squirrel Hill!
